Emily MacFarland was the missing girl mentioned by Arthur in Part One. She was found dismembered not far from 58 Pelican Lane, and since her corpse was discovered there has been a police imposed curfew. It is later revealed that John was the one who killed her; she opened his book and he decided she'd be too difficult to manipulate.[1]

Description[]

History[]

Emily's case was the one that originally Arthur Lester and Peter "Parker" Yang were working on before the series begins. She was found deceased in a field due to John killing her after opening the book. Her father and godfather, Henry and Frank, were involved in the ritual of Cult of the Black Goat and specifically interfering with the ritual to attempt to bring Shub-Niggurath into the world. [2]

She is the third young girl to be found in connection to the house on Pelican Lane, including Anna Stanczyk and Amanda Cummings a decade prior.
